ABOUT WARRANTIES
You will probably see three types of warranties offered with new PCs.

RETURN TO BASE usually means that you have to return it to a shop or service centre at your own cost, and await a refund if your warranty claim is justified.

COLLECT & RETURN usually implies that the supplier/manufacturer pays for and arranges the collection from you.

ONSITE means just what it says; the repairer comes to you.

COMPUTERS BUILT JUST FOR YOU.

So you've decided it's time for a new computer. Maybe it's your first. Perhaps you need an extra one. Or is your old faithful one just getting a bit left behind? If you definitely want a laptop, then I'm afraid I can't build one of those for you, (but I can advise you about your buying decision). But there are still many good reasons for buying a traditional desktop (see my WHICH PC page to help you choose). So why not let me build it for you?

I'll be honest, it'll probably cost a little more than the deal you could get at a large retailer. It won't come with "extra" software either, although you may not need or want that anyway. But it won't be vastly more expensive either, and I think when you look at the whole package, especially the warranty, service and delivery aspect of it, you'll maybe see that it's actually good value.
